About the team

Reporting to our Head of People & Culture, as our first People Partner hire, you’ll be leading the charge to establish our people and business partner working model ongoing. You’ll work closely with our leadership and management teams to directly support our people and culture work to enable us to achieve our broader business objectives and scale the function.

About the role

As VEED continues to grow globally, we need a People & Culture Business Partner to help us build a workplace that’s as collaborative, effective, and loved as our product. This role will be a multiplier, enabling the People & Culture function to be true partners to the business and ensuring our people at every level are growing and supported. You will be a development partner for the leadership team and strategic guide to our People & Culture function as we build a world-class team, product and culture.

What You'll Do

• Scale the People & Culture function by building strong relationships with leaders and their teams, acting as their main point of contact and trusted partner on all people matters.
• Proactively assess team and employee development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions
• Use data and people metrics to develop insights that help inform team structure, development, career progression, retention, and engagement
• Lead and partnering on key priorities such as talent management, org design, workforce planning and cultivating culture
• Mentor and coach others on leadership, managing difficult conversations, giving and receiving feedback, etc.  
• Facilitate performance calibration sessions where needed and support ongoing alignment, coaching and development conversations

About You

• 3+ years HRBP experience, HR generalist or HR including org design  
• Experience consulting and coaching a multi cultural team in a startup environment  
• Knowledge of talent, performance and developmental needs, issues and solutions across the employee lifecycle
• Strong coaching, communication and facilitation skills  
• Progressive, innovative and passionate about developing extraordinary people and organisations  
• Ability to balance working individually and autonomously, strategically or operationally, in and alongside teams — you’re comfortable being part of a team, leading and executing projects, or owning things end to end.
